Weekend in NYC

One of my dearest friends, Lana, and I in our beloved NYC. We, of course, went food-hopping, Indian, Cuban, and British. We saw an Anton Chekhov play at BAM (The Brooklyn Arts Museum). It is probably the nicest theater I have ever been too!

But the real star was going to Redeemer Presbyterian and hearing Dr. Tim Keller. If you ever want to hear some amazing sermons go to... www.redeemer.com

The shire...

I never knew, but my friend Holly lives in the shire, look! Shire, NY that is.

Qauntum Linguistics

That is Heather's new name for one of my classes! I loved it so much that is what I renamed it! I even told my professor.

HELP! This class is now starting to look like Physics 507! He was drawing diagrams on the board that looked like a DNA chain. When his back was turned we looked at each other like, what the HELL IS that!?!?

I have to maintain a 3.0 to make it. I dunnnnnno!!!

One cool thing I found out is that I could student teach in a refugee resettlement community in NY. That sounded kinda interesting. And I got my green light to study Russian intensively next summer!

Attention all native English speakers!

One chapter in ONE of my books states...

"Many semilexicalized sequences possess permissible expansions or substitutions. In such cases, a formula can be extracted that consists of a nucleus of lexical and grammatical morphemes, which normally include the verb and certain of its arguments, as well as one or more structural elements represented by a category symbol such as tense, noun phrase, or pronoun.

A chapter means about 40 pages of THAT!

Wine anyone?
